And right now, the state of the world is asking more of you than ever.

You are the one people call. The one who shows up, figures it out, and holds the line.

You have been doing this for your family, your community, your organization, and for your cause, for as long as you can remember.

You didn't come this far by being fragile. But something in you is tired.

You've watched funding disappear that was already committed. Programs built over decades, gone overnight. People you came up with, out of the work entirely.

And some of what is heaviest has nothing to do with work at all. A career that no longer fits. A relationship that has run its course. A chapter closing before the next one has a name.

Or maybe you are simply full.

Full of grief that hasn't had anywhere to go.

Full of rage that has nowhere to land.

Full of the non-stop noise of a world in crisis, arriving in your body every single day, without an outlet.

And underneath the exhaustion, underneath the grief and the fury and the quiet, persistent ache, there is something else.

A sense that something in your life is asking to be rewritten, and that you are the only one who can do the rewriting.

You are carrying something that was never meant to be carried alone.

You don't need to escape the world. You need enough spaciousness to pause and hear your own deepest wisdom. A place to set it all down and decide what you want to pick back up. A reset.

What we're going toward is something that hasn't fully been named yet. A way of living, leading, and being in community that is rooted in something deeper, more substantial, and wiser than our current systems.

A world that we've been midwifing quietly, in our work, our homes and our relationships, for a very long time.

The world you've been working to repair has real cracks in it. Some of those cracks have been there for generations.

And in this particular moment, many of the structures you've been working within, waiting on, advocating toward, are showing their limits more clearly than ever before.

What The Reset Lab offers is not a return to the way things were "before".  We are not going back.

What if the exhaustion you're experiencing is a sign that something in you is ready to change?

The Reset Lab is for you if you're at that threshold and ready to step through.

It's where you come to get clear.

To transmute what you've been carrying, the grief, the rage, the uncertainty, into something clarifying and directional. Something that changes your life because you've faced it head on.

An opportunity to uncover what your role is in your next chapter.

Not the role you've been assigned, or the role that "looks good on paper". But the one that feels like it belongs to you. The one that comes from your specific lineage, your specific gifts, and this specific moment in time.

Grants that were already committed, no longer existed. Contracts were cancelled mid-stream. Foundations pulled back, organizations folded, government partners disappeared. Clients I had built my work around went out of business overnight.

And so did mine, as I knew it.

So I built The Reset Lab for the people who refuse to forget the world, because they're committed to making it more just, but who need reminding that they are not responsible for holding it alone. This was my next step.

And now The Reset Lab is a place for you to explore your next step, too.

I spent years building a social enterprise in the environmental sector. Relationships forged over time. Programs built in response to the needs of environmental organizations and foundations.  Change happening at the executive level to work towards a more equitable future.

Then the executive orders came.

You know what happened next, because some version of it probably happened to you.

I'm August, your host and guide.

That's what brings us here...

I've spent twenty years facilitating deep group processes. Truth-telling circles, conflict transformation, restorative practices, somatic work, equity decision-making. I'm a formally trained facilitator in restorative practice, nonviolent communication, and culturally responsive teaching.

I've sat in rooms where teams told the truth for the first time, where leaders wept and recommitted, where something stuck finally moved. I know how to hold a container where transformation isn't just possible but expected.

The Reset Lab is that, in the jungle, with ceremony, with intention, and with an incredible team I've assembled. Because the world we're building requires us to be whole, present, and connected to something deeper than urgency. The ones ushering in the new world, deserve to be connected to their own joy and to one another.

That is what we do here, in Tulum, together.

And once you return home, you'll notice that the noise that used to arrive in your body every day has somewhere to go now. That you've taken the grief you'd been carrying and set it down by the water, offered it to the fire, and the land took what it needed.

what a past guest had to say

"I've been on the precipice of huge unknown changes in my work life for the last year, struggling to imagine what next steps to take, mostly immobilized... I felt wonderfully relaxed, rejuvenated and energized looking forward hanging out on the precipice a while longer and enjoying the views while they last."

This is the difference between a vacation and a reset. A vacation lets you forget. A reset helps you remember who you are and what you want.

You arrive home with more clarity, and certainty.

You know what you want to build. And for the first time in longer than you can remember, you know the next step.

You're also not alone in it anymore.

You'll carry a group of people with you, the ones who were in the jungle, at the table, in ceremony beside you, who saw a version of you most people in your life never have.

You sense you're being called toward something new, and you know clarity won't come from doing more. It will come from going deeper.

Every element of The Reset Lab builds on the last. The meals, the ceremonies, the silence, the community, the music. You're not just attending a retreat. You're moving through a carefully held arc, guided by the four elements, from arrival to departure.

What to expect while you're here

Before you board the plane, you receive something unique to The Reset Lab. A private birth chart reading with our resident astrologer.

Your chart locates where you are in your own cosmic cycle and the energies active in this particular chapter of your life. After your birth chart reading, you arrive in Tulum understanding something more about the season you're in and how to work with it.

Before you arrive |
Your Cosmic Season

The first thing you'll notice is that no one needs anything from you.

Your shuttle meets you at the airport, and the jungle rolls by for thirty-five minutes while you get to know the people you're about to enter a container with.

You arrive at Casa Moon Child to fresh juices and fruit and spaciousness. Walk the grounds, sit by the pool, let your nervous system settle.

The evening opens with a plant-forward welcome dinner, then a first gathering around the fire, where the container is opened and you meet the people you'll travel through this experience with, with more depth.

Day one |
Arrival and Alignment

This day you go to the water before you go to the fire.

The day begins with no alarm and an unhurried breakfast, then a preparation circle. Meditation, an oracle pull, and prompts that help you name what you're ready to release.

Then we'll go to a cenote, one of the underground limestone pools that have held Mayan spiritual practice for thousands of years. You'll swim, rest, and take private time with your journal.

In the evening comes the Temazcal, the traditional Mayan sweat lodge ceremony, guided through its four rounds by Goiztiri Lara. Heat, darkness, sound, and breath work together to clear, release, and renew.

Day two |
Sacred Waters

Dressed in white, we travel into the jungle for the heart of the retreat. Everything that has come before has been building toward this day.

We sit with cacao, the heart opener used in Mayan ceremony to soften resistance, and copal, the sacred resin burned for purification across many ancestral traditions. The journey is held throughout by the sound of crystal bowls and traditional instruments.

We fast lightly through the day, then close together at the sacred lodge with dinner, reflection, and the particular energy experienced when people have been somewhere sacred together.

Day three |  Held in Ceremony

Today belongs entirely to you. Self-guided meditation and journal prompts are provided in the morning, to explore wherever and whenever it feels right.

You're also welcome to set them aside entirely for today. Today, you follow the lead of your soul.

Swim, sleep, write, walk, call someone you love, or do nothing at all, which is its own kind of radical act.

We'll sit for a private integration session. Many guests name this quiet conversation, as one of the most valuable hours of the retreat.

On this full moon, a symbol of completion, our day closes with a farewell dinner at Asian Bodega. The kind of long, joyous, unhurried table where memories are made.

Day four |
Rest & Integration

You were surrounded by water. You sat by the fire and it burned away what's no longer serving you. The earth held you..

Wind is the one you take with you, as you notice how you move through the world differently, and breathe deeper throughout your days.

On our last day, you'll have a spacious morning to connect with the group, sip your coffee, and prepare to leave the on your next adventure.

Day five |
Your New Chapter

This is not a hotel. It's a home, created as a soft place to land during this transformative week.

Casa Moon Child is an eco-luxury private villa tucked into the lush residential heart of Tulum. It's the kind of place that causes you to take a deep breath and relax your shoulders the moment you walk in. The architecture opens to the outdoors. The pool catches the light. The communal spaces are built for conversation and connection

You'll sleep here, eat here, laugh here, cry here, and wake to mornings that belong entirely to you. Most importantly, you'll rest here.

Frequently Asked Questions

I've never done anything like this. Will I be out of place?

I've never done anything like this. Will I be out of place?

Most people arrive having never sat in a temazcal or held cacao in ceremony. You are not expected to know what you're doing, and nobody performs fluency here. Everything is explained as it happens, and you can opt out of anything at any point without explanation.

Can i come alone?

Most guests come alone! Your shuttle meets you at the airport, transport is handled from the airport to the villa and around town, and by the first evening around the fire you will know the other guests. If you booked the twin shared room solo, August matches you herself.

Is this for everyone, or just women?

The Reset Lab is open to everyone. Shared rooms are matched by gender.

How physically demanding is it?

If you have any concerns or are differently abled, please bring this up in your inquiry form, and we'll discuss this when we speak! Please don't let concerns deter you from applying, as the retreat is designed to be inclusive and every activity is optional.

I don't know what a temazcal or a cenote actually is.

A cenote is a natural freshwater pool. The Yucatán sits on limestone, and where that rock has collapsed it opens onto the river system running underneath, so there are pools and flooded caves all through the jungle. The Maya held them sacred, both as a water source and as an entrance to the underworld, and many are still used for ceremony today.

A temazcal is a Mayan sweat lodge. A low dome you sit on the ground inside, with volcanic stones heated in a fire outside and carried in, and water and herbs poured over them. It runs in four rounds, one for each direction, through heat, darkness and song. A temazcalero leads it, sets the pace, and opens the door between rounds.

Both are guided from start to finish. You can leave either at any point.

What's included, and what isn't?

Included: five days and four nights at Casa Moon Child, all meals and drinks prepared at the villa and at the restaurants on the itinerary, every ceremony and healing modality, a private birth chart reading, a reiki and massage session, the daily meditation and journal work, and transport from Tulum airport and around town.

Not included: flights, travel insurance, anything you buy for yourself in town.

What airport do I fly into?

Tulum (TQO). Pickups run from TQO only. You're welcome to fly into Cancún (CUN) instead, but you'll need to arrange your own transport to Tulum, either to TQO or to the Tulum ADO bus terminal.

Do I need a visa?

Entry requirements depend on your passport and they change, so check the official Mexican government guidance for your own nationality well before you book, and make sure your passport has enough validity left. US citizens don't need a visa to visit Mexico for tourism for stays of 180 days or less.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Food is plant-forward throughout, and any restrictions or allergies are accommodated. You'll confirm yours in your 1:1 call, before you travel.

What happens after I make a deposit?

A 1:1 video call with me, to make sure the retreat is right for you and to answer anything still open. If it isn't the right fit right now, your deposit is refunded.

Once you're confirmed, you'll send your flight details so pickups can be arranged, and confirm your dietary needs. Everything from arrival to departure is handled by the host team.

What's the refund and cancellation policy?

All sales are final. Substantial care and resources go into planning each retreat, and many vendor commitments are made and paid months in advance, so we aren't able to offer refunds.

If something comes up, you may be able to transfer your spot to someone who meets the eligibility requirements, or apply your payment to a future retreat.

Guests must also procure travel insurance ahead of joining the retreat in Tulum.

Can I arrive early or stay later?

Yes, with enough notice. Raise it on your 1:1 and August will arrange it.
